Markai, wants to become a vet, when she gets older. Her boyfriend James doesn't work, and Markai works part time at a grocery store. James really needs to find a job because Markai is pregnant, and they're going to need the money.
I think that Markai did over react about the whole James cheating on her, I mean it is a bad thing, but she shouldn't have hit him. Especially in front of Zakaria. I think that Markai and James should have talked first. James told her it was when they had only been together for a week, and that he's changed and grown up, since she got pregnant. I don't think she sees that, she's stuck in the past and can't move on. Markai and James need to work things out because they have a baby now, and if they can't work things out it's going to hurt Zakaria in the end, that is their main priority now. 
If they can't work things out Zakaria is going to have a hard life if her parents hate each other. They will have to go to court and spend hundreds of dollars on lawyers, and that is not healthy for a child. I'm glad that in the end Markai and James worked everything out, and everyone's happy. That's what every child needs, and wants.
