Ashley's episode had to be one the hardest episodes to watch. Ashley goes through her options of keeping her baby or giving her up for adoption. The last few weeks of her pregnancy she considers adoption, and her aunt and uncle ask if they could adopt her baby. Ashley agrees. After she gives birth and has to sign the birth certificate she breaks down and realizes how hard it's going to be giving her up.
As I watched this I was crying along with Ashley, it's hard giving up her baby. She gets to see her but it has to be scheduled, and only so many times. When Ashley handed her baby over to her aunt I bawled out crying. Then I watched how she looked so depressed without her baby, Callie. When she went and got Callie, from her Aunt and Uncles I thought she would be able to do it. I was rooting for her to be able to keep her baby.
When Ashley went through the month of taking care of Callie, Ashley realized how much taking care of a baby would changed her life. She would have to put college on hold and stay home and take care of a baby. Then she would have to find a decent paying job, then find someone to watch Callie, while she works. Since her mom can't watch her because she is always working.
By the end of the episode Ashley realized that she couldn't take care of Callie and brought her back to her aunt and uncle's. I'm glad that she had at least tried to take care of her daughter, and not just give her up and not try at all.
